In the face of stiff competition this Christmas, Nintendo has reduced the price of the Wii U in the US and Canada.
The news was first reported by CVG, but there's no word yet on a European or Australian / New Zealand price drop as yet.
The price drop was only USD$50, but still enough to put the console in the 'cheapest by far' category. A basic pack currently runs for AUD$349.95, so if it were to drop below the magical AUD$300 mark before Christmas, it'd make a hell of a difference.
