VIDEO: Ex-Firemint developer releases iOS game Tasty Tadpoles

It's happening more and more that local talent is making a go of creating games for themselves - here's one such story.

Mark White left advertising after six years to join Firemint. He soaked up as much as could while he was there, and after moving onto Millipede Creative, started making an iOS game in his spare time.

It's a top-down puzzler which appears to take cues from Cut The Rope. You navigate your tasty tadpoles out of the pond and out of harm's way by manipulating the environment in quirky ways.

As with most iOS fare, its a brightly lit and playfully coloured game, but the developer has seen fit to make a fun-poking trailer which seems like it's introducing Michael Bay's idea of Bioshock before finally revealing the core game.

You can check out the trailer below, or buy the game for $0.99 as a Universal app here.
