2K is continuing to push its rebooted XCom squad-based shooter in interesting ways, and today's trailer is no different.
With only flashes of actual gameplay, the trailer shows a troubled agent sitting at a desk writing his report of some of the events of the invasion.
He recalls lost loved ones, and blacks out their names as soon as the document is written.
Switching to a first-person perspective, the video then pulls up two hashtags, one of which suggests that he reach for a bottle of booze on his desk, the other that he reach for his gun. Neither are hugely uplifting propositions.
2K is asking people to chime in and vote on which the agent chooses, the winner of which will be 'revealed' on 24th July 2013, presumably via an extended cut of the trailer, but 2K is being too coy to say.
