The Interactive Games and Entertainment Association (iGEA) has announced a one-year full time contract starting today for Josh Cavaleri.
The contract will see Cavaleri take on a role working directly with the iGEA, after having previously been working with it remotely from TressCox Laywers for the past 18 months.
Ron Curry, CEO of the iGEA told MCV: "Josh has been offering policy advice to iGEA for over a year now as part of the TressCox team and has proved to be a great asset. For example, Josh took the lead on our submission to the ALRC Classification Review and acted as legal counsel."
"He has attended the last two E3’s where he participated in global industry forums dealing with classification, copyright and other industry issues as well as contributing to local industry events. As part of his practice at TressCox he also had frequent dealings with the games development community."
"With this experience, it was a no brainer to have him join the team on a more permanent basis when the opportunity arose. It also helps that he’s a keen gamer!"
Cavaleri's role will be to further advise the iGEA on policy issues, as well as help push iGEA relationships further with external stakeholders.
