Tim Schafer to attend Game Masters

The creator of such revered franchises as Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Psychonauts and Brutal Legend is set to be in Australia this June.

As the second international mega-guest to be announced (following Peter Molyneaux) for the Game Masters exhibition, Schafer will be down to discuss what it means to have auteurs in videogames, and what roles the key designers throughout gaming history have played in shaping what we play and enjoy today.

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image has today released an excerpt from a video interview with Schafer to whet people's appetites for the discussions to be had when the exhibition launches.

The Game Master exhibition will be held at ACMI in Melbourne and will run from 28th June through to 28th October, showcasing the works of such gaming legends as Toru Iwatani (Pac-man), Ed Logg (Asteroids), Tomohiro Nishikado (Space Invaders) and Dave Theurer (Missile Command), Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Child of Eden), Yuji Naka (Sonic the Hedgehog), Fumito Ueda (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus) and Will Wright (SimCity, The Sims).
