MCV Pacific is proud to announce the return of the annual Women In Games Lunch, as Microsoft steps up their involvement.

The MCV Pacific Women In Games Lunch presented by Xbox will return to Sydney’s L’Aqua on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

We are also happy to confirm that Xbox Australia will return in sponsoring this year’s Women In Games Lunch and Awards. Speaking of the announcement, Jeremy Hinton, Xbox Business Lead at Microsoft Australia said, “For the third consecutive year, Xbox Australia is thrilled to be the sponsor of MCV Pacific’s Women in Games lunch. Diversity continues to be at the forefront of who we are at Xbox, and we look forward to recognizing the exceptional work and contributions of women in our community.”

“This year, as part of our ongoing commitment to the local industry, we’re also excited to announce that Xbox will be sponsoring one local female game developer to attend GDC in 2018 and participate in the annual Xbox Women In Gaming event as a guest of Microsoft the event.”

All Women nominated across the MCV Pacific Women In Games List and Award categories who work in development will be eligible for the GDC 2018 scholarship. MCV Pacific will detail the criteria and inclusions next week. To nominate yourself or a colleague for the list and awards, you can use our new streamlined nomination document.

Ticket sales for the event have opened alongside today’s announcement. MCV Pacific is please to confirm that Independent tickets will be a feature of this year’s event, costing $110 inc GST. Corporate tickets are again, $135 inc GST each.

For the first time MCV Pacific is giving companies the opportunity to support the Women nominated across the list and awards with table sponsorships for the first time. Tables of ten are available for purchase ($1,350 inc GST), with your company to receive a minimum of six seats, with the remaining four will be for Women included in this year’s list and award finalists. The sponsorship also includes a commemorative plaque in recognition of your support. 

With this MCV Pacific is proud to confirm that all women included in this year’s list and award finalists will be able to attend the event at no charge.

The Lunch, which is open to all sexes will return to L’Aqaua on, Tuesday May 2. The event will run from 12:00 PM to 4:00PM and will again be a 3-course meal with beverages included.
