The Witcher 3 still unconfirmed for Australia

Namco Bandai Games has secured the much sought after The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt for distribution in Europe, according to sister site MCV UK, but as yet the next-gen RPG remains unsigned in Australia and New Zealand.

Namco Bandai's Australian office confirmed to us today that the deal announced overnight only applies to 24 European countries. Even though in such deals Australia and New Zealand are often considered part of Europe, thanks to our PAL territory heritage, in this instance that is not the case.

MCV understands that several local distributors are vying for the rights to The Witcher 3 in this territory, including Namco Bandai Games, and news of a deal should be announced soon.
