The Aussie mobile success story goes national

A national feature last weekend saw Halfbrick and Brawsome honoured as examples of mobile gaming done right in the new Australian dev scene.

The feature ran in News Ltd's papers with a large image of Luke Muscat and the star of Halfbrick's Jetpack Joyride Barry Steakfries (pictured), and detailed the tests current mobile developers must undergo in a competitive marketplace.

Citing Megan Brownlow, author of the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Media Outlook Report, the story suggests that in addition to owning its own IP and streamlining its production pipelines, the Australian development scene also has to contend with the high Aussie dollar, which has led to some developers internationalising their dev process.
