For followers of the creatively named Nnooo! based in Sydney, the long-awaited Spirit Hunters now has an release in sight.

It'll be hitting as a digital download for DSi or 3DS on 22nd November, carrying a price tag of 800 DSi points if purchased through the Nintendo DSi Shop or AUD$12 on the Nintendo eShop.

The game utilises the cameras on the handheld to create a blend of real-world vision and augmented reality spirits for players to hunt, capture and battle, encased in an RPG framework.

There'll be two versions, Light and Shadow, which will have different spirits which players can then trade with one another once they've found them and captured them in real life.

Nic Watt, Creative Director at Nnooo, said: "We're really excited to launch this unique game. Creating a game where players can explore all over the real world to battle and capture spirits utilising a real-time battle system is, as far as we are aware, a world first."

Nnooo! was previously responsible for the sublime EscapeVektor: Chapter 1, also a Nintendo download, and was at the EB EXPO last weekend showing off the game to the public for the first time.
