Square Enix remembers it never released Final Fantasy Type-0 outside Japan

You'd think it was a typo, but the Japanese publisher has announced that Final Fantasies Type-0 and Agito will at last get a worldwide release.

The former will be coming out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as an HD remaster, while the latter is headed to iOS and Android.

Type-0 came out in Japan back in 2011 for PSP. It was originally announced as Final Fantasy Agito XIII back in 2006 as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis sub-series, which also featured Final Fantasy XIII.

Agito on the other hand is a prequel to Type-0 and launched in Japan in May. It will be free but will feature in-app purchases.

Australian and New Zealand release dates have not yet been confirmed for either title.

“The voice of our Western fans was instrumental in the development of Final Fantasy Type-0, and we’re very excited to release this title soon,” said Type-0's director Hajime Tabata.

“The PlayStation 4 system and Xbox One have really helped to re-envision this dynamic and turbulent world of Orience.”
