South Park: The Stick of Truth will miss its December release date and now launch on March 6, 2014, Ubisoft announced today.
In a statement, creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, fresh from missing a TV deadline just two weeks ago for the first time in the show's history, said, “We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we're excited to say it's taken way longer than we thought it would.”
The Stick of Truth, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, has had a troubled production, suffering several delays and the collapse of former publisher THQ. The delay comes on the back of recent delays to two other high profile Ubisoft titles: Watch Dogs slipped from November to Q2 2014 while The Crew slipped from Q1 2014 to Q3.
