A combination of expertise from the gaming and apparel worlds has created Control Division, a clothing label for gamers.

The apparel is being ranged online only, and features clothing which is contemporary with a nerdy twist, aiming to mean something to those who understand it while being stylish more generally for those who don't.

The company is chaired by Richard Neal, who is on a number of boards for Australian companies already and was the co-founder of Auditflow, Mario Wynands and Tyrone McAuley, who have 15 years' experience helming Sidhe (Rugby Challenge) and PikPok (Slam Dunk King), and Clive Fitts and Ren Finlayson, who bring 20 years' experience from Quiksilver.

Neal said: "The explosive growth of video-game culture has created a platform to launch Control Division’s new fashion brand into worldwide markets."

"Control Division will provide gamers with stylish, quality clothing suitable to wear at home, down the street or to the club. We have been watching the space and planning the launch for quite a while. We’ve built a culture in our brand that only comes from working with guys who know the industry."

Clothing can be purchased from the company's online store, and Control Division can be followed on Twitter.
