Saint's Row IV officially pushed back in Australia

It was always going to be tight, but it looks like production couldn't happen in the small window between classification and release.

Distributor All Interactive Entertainment has issued a press release confirming that the Xbox 360 and PC versions will release on 12th August in Australia, while the PS3 version won't make it until the 19th.

This doesn't bode well for the title, releasing just two days after Grand Theft Auto V, but it was 'unavoidable' according to the statement.

Robert Kingston, Director of AIE, said: "Australian fans of Saint's Row IV will obvbiously be disappointed with this delay, we have used every means at our disposal to minimise the delay, but unfortunately it was just not possible to keep the same street date as the rest of the world."

To compensate fans for the delay, any pre-orders in Australia collected within the first 48 hours will be given a Presidential Pack DLC code for free.
