Rumour: Dates abound for Wii U

There are reports from MCV UK, CVG and Kotaku with suggestions that the Wii U is gearing up for a late November / early December release.

Kotaku Australia reported this morning that it had received an anonymous tip from an Aussie retailer claiming a 6th December local release date for the new Nintendo console.

A GameStop employee allegedly leaked to GoNintendo that the US release date for the console would fall somewhere in between 19th and 23rd November.

Meanwhile, CVG sources reported that the European release date slipped to December, putting the alleged Australian date squarely in the realms of possibility.

The delays were reported to have come from manufacturing of the new Wii U controller. If the Wii U does hit at the anticipated date, it'd be safely on the far side of all the major PS3 and 360 releases this year, and, while cutting it close to Christmas, would still own its own window down under.
