Razer 'Blade' coming to Australia first, exclusive to JB HiFi

Razer has made a splash by announcing that its 'Blade' gaming laptop will make its first venture outside North America here in Oz.

CEO Min-Liang Tan (pictured) flew down to Australia to make the announcement in person at an event in Sydney last night, where he presented the machine to the gaming and tech media and confirmed the two retail locations it would be available: JB HiFi's flagship stores in Sydney and Melbourne.

After going over the specs of the machine, which are comparable to current standards, Tan then bragged about the platform's small stature, noting its height of a mere 0.88 inches and weight of 2.8 pounds, coming in at roughly half to two thirds the size of the next smallest competitor.

The laptop also sports a second customisable touch-pad on the right hand side, with two rows of programmable buttons that are designed to be fitted to certain in-game macros and commands.

The Blade will retail for AUD$2999.
