Qantas Spirit of Youth Award winner announced

18 year-old Melbournite Harry Lee has taken the Qantas Spirit of Youth Award in the category of Interactive Gaming.

Lee took the prize with his quirky puzzle games Impasse and Midas, and will see himself get flown to Austin, Texas for South by Southwest Interactive, and return to Australia with a full years' mentorship from SOAP Creative's Ashley Ringrose and Brad Eldridge.

Lee said: "I love making fun experiences that make people think, infused with clever design and playful narrative."

He started his own independent development studio called Wanderlands in 2010, and has released Impasse, Midas, The Sneaky Card, Pocket Corpse and Tournament X.

Runners up for the first ever Interactive Gaming category for the Spirit of Youth Awards were Tim O'Brien and Chris Watts.
