SONY's PlayStation 4 has now sold 10-million units worldwide.
That's what Jim Ryan announced at the beginning of Sony's Gamescom press conference. This latest update see's SONY having sold double the amount of Xbox One units shipped.
Recent data has suggested that PS4 is outselling Xbox One 3-to-1 globally, although with the Xbox One due to launch in a further 20 territories next month, Microsoft will be hoping to pull that figure back.
Locally SONY has confirmed that "According to NPD Group Australia data, PlayStation 4 consistently remains the best place to play, retaining the #1 selling next generation home console position".
SONY also added that, "On average, PS4 has sold 2:1 units comparatively to its nearest competitor month-on-month since its launch on 29 November 2013".
The press conference also revealed that PlayStation TV will be available in Australia and New Zealand from November 14, it will come with an RRP of AUD $149.95 / NZD $159.95.
