The PlayStation 4's trio of exclusive launch titles has met with a mixed response from critics as the review embargo lifted today.
According to Metacritic, download title Resogun is the best reviewed with a metascore of 82/100 based on 14 reviews. Killzone: Shadow Fall has a metascore of 74/100 based on 18 reviews while Knack has a metascore of 59/100 based on 17 reviews.
IGN calls Resogun "a tense, challenging, and excellent shooter" and Eurogamer says it is "the closest the PS4 launch line-up gets to offering a genuine next-gen thrill."
Gametrailers says Killzone: Shadow Fall is "easy to recommend as a launch title" but Gamespot says the single-player campaign is "disappointing" and Polygon places it "at the bottom... in a launch lineup crowded with shooters."
Game Informer says Knack has "charm and heart" and Destructoid describes it as a "fun romp, and definitely worth a play." Elsewhere though, the response was negative. IGN compares it to "watching a dull movie on a plane" and Gamespot complains there's "not one element to rally around, to excite you."
The PS4 launches in North America on November 15 and in Australia and New Zealand on November 29.
