The handheld entry from Sony is now only two days away, so MCV looks at the best prices in Australia and New Zealand.
In Australia, the cheaper WiFi model of the Playstation Vita is selling for AUD$348 at EB Games, JB HiFi and Harvey Norman, or $349 at GAME or Dick Smith.
Pre-orders at GAME will receive a free copy of Ridge Racer, while JB HiFi is offering a starter pack as an incentive which comes with a hard case, game case, screen protector and other accessories.
The 3G/WiFi model is going for $418 and EB Games and Harvey Norman, or $419 at GAME and Dick Smith. Purchasing Dungeon Hunter or Rayman with your console at EB Games will reduce the price of either title to $33 (from $79.95).
Meanwhile, consumers can purchase through Vodafone and get the console for $55 per month over 12 months, which includes 1.5Gb of data paid for and a bonus 4Gb memory card.
The price wars are more intense across the pond, with New Zealand seeing the WiFi model for NZD$397 at Noel Leeming, $398 at JB HiFi, $429 at online retailer Mighty Ape, and $449 at Dick Smith and EB Games, the latter including a free game and a handful of accessories.
The 3G/WiFi model is going for $529 at Mighty Ape, $539 at Noel Leeming, and approximately $549 at the other major retailers.
The Playstation Vita is hitting shelves on Thursday 23rd February.
