PikPok's Into The Dead passes 10 million downloads

Wellington-based developer and publisher PikPok has seen its second game pass the 10 million download milestone today.

The game is a first-person endless runner where the player tilts their device to veer left or right while running straight forward down a creepy night-time setting avoiding zombies and collecting powerups.

The free-to-play game is available on iOS and Android, and follows PikPok's Flick Kick Football in reaching the 10 million mark. The Flick Kick series totals over 20 million with all iterations included, but considering the momentum Into the Dead still has, it'll be interesting to see if it can clock that mark all on its own.

“We have been extremely pleased with the critical reception of the game, as well as reaching such a large and rapidly growing number of gamers with a new IP" said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “I’m very proud of the team and process we have built that has been able to have repeat success, and look forward to seeing how our upcoming releases will be received.”

PikPok didn't specify the revenue the title had received through its in-game monetisation.
