PAX Australia to host indie showcase

Six indie games developed in Australia and New Zealand are going to get given the royal treatment by PAX Australia.

In a separate initiative to the Indie Pavillion section of the show itself, and will involve local indies submitting their games (must be in beta at least) to be judged by a select group of industry professionals.

The six winners will be covered on Penny Arcade itself (as well as the PAX Australia site), and will receive four 3 day passes to come down and promote their game at the show.

PAX will also provide a 9sqm booth in the Exhibition Hall, and can be expected to be promoted heavily as one of PAX Australia's selected best indie games from anywhere in our fine shores.

By 'indie', PAX means that you can't have any external funding sources and can't have a publisher on board - as distinct from 'independent' developers which are much larger and well-funded - this is truly for the brightest shining stars of the small-team folks.

You can sign up for a nominal fee here.
