SFTV has appointed Patrick 'Patch' Kolan as its new online personality and social media representative.
Patch is known in the industry for his work as an IGN editor, and as a creator of Shotgun Critic and Insert Coin(s). More recently he co-founded Pug Consulting. His work on SFTV will be in addition to his current roles.
His new role will see him posting news and op ed pieces on www.sftv.com.au, as well as managing the @SFTVau Twitter account.
The remit is for Patch to help reframe Sci-Fi to allow for a broader reach, expanding the site and its readership beyond the hyper-nerdy and approaching it as speculative fiction, involving everything across TV, film, books and games.
Sci-Fi TV was rebranded SFTV in August for this reason.
