Pachinko Pictures releases browser game for Pitchfork

Inspired by the first single from Passion Pit's latest album, Gossamer, Pachinko Pictures has created a simple, beautiful game.

The game is part of Pitchfork festival's Soundplay program, in which people look to the grossroads of music, games and technology to create works.

The Pachinko Pictures title, dubbed Take a Walk, is a simple one-button platformer which can be played inside a browser and uses music from Passion Pit, a series of projections for a background and basic 2D black shapes for a foreground.

It's a simpe concept, but one which elegantly displays the connection games have to appreciating other artistic forms in unique ways.

Pachinko are a Melbourne-based boutique indie outfit founded by 2010 Bafta winning duo Ian Gouldstone and David Surman.
