Only in America: SONY being sued over Killzone: Shadow Fall graphics

California resident, Douglas Ladore has filed a lawsuit in Northern District California court against SONY for 'deceptive marketing'.

Ladore has alleged that Sony advertised Shadow Fall would run at full 1080p resolution but "used a technological shortcut that was supposed to provide 'subjectively similar' results."

The suit was filed by law firm Edelson PC, which previously hit Sony and EA with a class action suit in 2011. Lawyers for the firm launched the action after the two promised a free copy of Battlefield 1943 to PS3 owners who purchased Battlefield 3, but then failed to do so. Eldelson PC is also the firm behind the class action against SEGA and Gearbox alleging the two companies falsely advertised Aliens: Colonial Marines.

It is understood that Ladore is seeking damages in excess of USD $5,000,000.
