Olympic cheer spreads to gaming

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games placed 9th in overall sales for the first half of the year, and now here comes Sega Studios Oz.

The Brisbane-based developers' latest title is London 2012: The Official Video Game, which is capitalising incredibly well on the hype and cheer over in the UK, catapulting to the top spot to become the number one selling game for last week.

Weekly sales for the title were up 25 per cent, and is the first time the title has seen the top position in spite of having been on sale for five weeks already.
