Following this morning's news that Don Mattrick had jumped from Xbox to become CEO of Zynga, Microsoft is oddly quiet.
As MCV UK notes, when Peter Moore left Microsoft to join EA in 2007, Mattrick was detailed as the successor immediately.
This time around, however, Steve Ballmer has instead outlined the presumably temporary measures by which Mattrick's directs would report to him.
It smacks of a move which was made with haste, and given the timing and what can only be considered an appalling episode in hardware communications at E3, it could be that Mattrick's leaving was facilitated quite quickly.
