Sydney-based developer is up for a New South Wales Export Award from the Export Council of Australia.
The awards are given out to companies which improve the Australian economy through a strong export market. Given Nnooo's preference for digital distribution, its independently created titles have been largely driven by sales overseas.
"We're thrilled to be recognised for our contribution to the NSW economy," said Bruce Thomson, Business and Marketing Director at Nnooo. "The resurgence of game development in Australia is due largely to the increasing number of small studios like ourselves who generate our own IP, make innovative games across multiple platforms and market them globally."
"Over 97% of our sales are exports. Digital distribution means our games are always available in many countries around the world. It's also encouraging to see the Export Council of Australia recognising the growing importance of video game development on the local economy."
Nnooo is being considered for the Information and Communication Technology category. Congratulations go out to the team at Nnooo for the achievement.
