A group of passionate gamers in Melbourne have created a web site which will help build the development community.
The site is called Game Beholder, and will be edited by David Watton from Melbourne-based indie developer Raptus Games (Draw: The Showdown).
Watton said: "I've spent a lot of time working with some amazing talent in game development, but an issue that always arose when trying to showcase great games and talented developers were sites that didn't make room for smaller titles and studios."
"While we've got the big news in the feed, our group mission is to always keep a big focus on independent development. I really can't say it enough, but I want anyone that has done, or is doing something amazing video game wise to come to us to get it shown to interested gamers."
Watton will be flanked by Matthew Plumb as news contributor and Charles Delaney with an overtly angst-ridden regular column.
