Naughty Dog loses The Last of Us art director

Nate Wells, who most recently served as art director on The Last of Us, has left the studio.

Games Industry reports Wells lists himself as the new art director for Giant Sparrow – the studio behind 2012 PS3-exclusive Unfinished Swan – having joined the team at the beginning of April.

"Hmmm....seem to be some threads here. Yes, I joined the wild, wacky, and ultimately brilliant folks at #GiantSparrow on April 3rd," Wells stated on Twitter.

Giant Sparrow is currently working on a title that isn't necessarily a sequel to The Unfinished Swan, but as the studio describes: “[It's] not a million miles away either.”

Wells was previously the art director on BioShock and BioShock Infinite before joining Naughty Dog.

Uncharted creative director and writer Amy Hennig also left Naughty Dog just last month, and has since joined Visceral Games to work on EA's Star Wars project.
