A little known developer named Clicker soft-launched a 'demake' of World of Warcraft at PAX which imagines it as an 80s game.

The game has been mimicked as an LCD portable game console for iPads, and is part of the team's 'LCDemakes' series.

In the game, players become 'Squishy', who must level up as they complete quests, kill bosses and other typical MMO fare.

It's an interesting concept, and one with the potential to reveal through light satire some of the absurdity of contemporary genre cliches.
