The only conference in ANZ to tackle the business side of the games industry will have MCV Pacific as a media supporter this year.

After a successful first year in 2011, Gametech 2012 will be a specialist event aimed at bringing together hundreds of industry representatives and executives for high level talks and education.

Dominic Patterson, Director of Connect Events, said: "We are delighted to be working with MCV Pacific for this year’s Gametech Conference.  Our partnership reinforces the growing need to focus on the business side of gaming, uniting the various groups that make up the industry."

Guy Blomberg, Marketing and Ad Sales Manager at MCV, added: "Gametech is the one event in the calendar year which provides a forum for discussion of high end business in the videogames industry. It is precisely the kind of event our territory needs, and will be a must for any serious business operating in the Australia / New Zealand region."

Speakers at this year's event will include Ian Livingstone (Life President, Eidos UK), Philip Earl (Executive VP and Call of Duty Business Exec, Activision USA), Arthur Chow (Co-founder and COO, 6waves HK), Ed Fong (MD, Ubisoft ANZ), Jason Clare (Minister for Home Affairs) and several luminaries from local developers Tantalus, Defiant Development and Big Ant Studios, with more to be announced.

Gametech 2012 will take place at Luna Park in Sydney on June 19th and 20th. Early bird tickets are on sale at AUD$770 for a single day or AUD$990 for both. Early bird pricing will expire on May 18th. The fourth delegate may attend free.
