Lunarcade experimental games festival coming to Sydney this week

In Sydney's inner west this week between 3rd and 9th August, people can head to Lunarcade to see a host of upcoming experimental games.

On display at Serial Space, 33 Wellington Street, Chippendale, will be some of the most bizarre and wildly progressive games currently pushing boundaries of the avant garde.

The games on show include Bientôt l’été, J.S. Joust, Memory of a Broken Dimension, Lifeless Planet, Thirty Flights of Loving, Zobeide, TRIP and Dear Esther, with opening hours varying by day.

More information on this exhilerating event can be found at the official web site, as well as a teaser trailer of the stunning array of games which will be shown.

The Serial Space web site is referring to the exhibition as "a collection of works that experiment with the exploration of game worlds, with minimalist, goal-less experiences", so if the teaser trailer felt oddly reminiscent of Journey, that would be why.

Thanks to Kotaku for making it known.
