JB HiFi set to go digital

JB HiFi set to go digital

Kotaku picked up a little nugget in JB HiFi's annual report this afternoon - evidence that the company is planning a digital service for games.

A representative told Kotaku "It has always been inferred to the market that JB Hi-Fi NOW would ultimately aggregate digital entertainment solutions for all content experiences including interactive gaming", then going on to note that this was a long-term goal and that their current focus remains on film and TV shows.

It's unclear what the business model for such a venture might be, but it's obviously still very early days, so at this stage it's unlikely JB themselves know what the store is going to look like.
