Jason Evans has announced his departure from Namco Bandai Partners Australia and New Zealand.
Evans was the Public Relations Manager at Namco Bandai. In that capacity, Evans liaised with media in Australia and New Zealand to promote Namco Bandai's titles, and the games of its partners, including Square Enix and Codemasters.
Evans told MCV: "I've decided to part ways with Namco Bandai Partners to explore other avenues in order to further my career.
"The past year with Namco Bandai Partners has been an extremely busy time, yet equally rewarding. As you know, NBP is also the sole distributor of Square-Enix, Codemasters and more across Australia and New Zealand, so there was a lot of quality software released in that time. The highlights for me would probably have been our highly successful campaigns we ran on Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dark Souls and SoulCalibur V.
"There are a lot of extremely knowledgeable people who work at NBP, whom have been around the industry for a very long time, so I was able to learn a lot from them during my tenure.
"Right now I'm planning on enjoying a long overdue holiday, and exploring my options available to me moving forwards."
As to whether Evans will remain in the videogame industry: "After being in the industry in one form or another for the past 6 years, I'd like to think so, as there are so many awesome people in our local scene.
"You haven't seen the last of 'Jevans'!"
