Fans of the frenetic pace of Netherrealm's other fighting franchise, Mortal Kombat, should be right at home here.
The over-the-top heroes and villains of the DC universe clash and rumble in the trailer, which gives us a taste of the strong emphasis on story the game looks to sport.
Given the groundbreaking work done on story in a fighting game with the most recent Mortal Kombat, it's hardly a surprise.
