IGN announced it has partnered with V Energy Drink maker Frucor for this year's IGN Black Beta Select Awards.

The awards, now in the second year, allow the IGN community (which reached 743,000 uniques in October this year) to vote for their favourite games released in 2013 and conclude with a ceremony attended by industry and consumers.

“We continue to enjoy a successful relationship with Frucor and we’re excited to be partnering with V Energy for this major Australian gaming event," says James Whitehead, General Manager, Ziff Davis Australia. "Having received overwhelming feedback from games industry partners and gamers in year one, we’re looking forward to making the event bigger and better, as we celebrate the very best of 2013 at the IGN Black Beta Select Awards.”

Craig Harkness, Marketing Manager, V Energy Australia, adds, “We're delighted that V Energy is a key partner of IGN’s Black Beta Awards 2013. The games industry has experienced a momentous year and V Energy is proud to play a key role in recognising these achievements and successes. Gaming is a key strategic platform for V Energy and one that we know our consumers are passionate about. We look forward to working with IGN on this project and further strengthening our association with gaming in 2014."

Voting in the awards opens today and the Black Beta event is held on February 7.
