Grinding Gears' Path of Exile RPG to be in open beta this weekend

Path of Exile from New Zealand-based developer Grinding Gears will spend this weekend in a public beta.

The game has been in development in Auckland for some time, and is currently in a closed beta stage. This weekend it will be open to the public to commemorate the reveal of the latest 'shadow' character class.

Path of Exile allows players to customise their character types to suit a variety of tasks and skill sets based on variables made available through many existing classes, shadow being one of them.

The open beta follows on from a 47'000 user stress-test which took place in March, and will run from 5pm PDT on Friday 11th May through to 11:59pm PDT on Sunday 13th May.

Those interested in participating in the weekend beta should click here.
