GameArena Weekly Update turns 300 (episodes)

First kicking off on 15th September, 2006, Andy Wells' GameArena Weekly Update video has today launched its 300th episode.

The series is known for taking to the streets and soliciting the opinions of people at events, pedestrian vox pops, as well as doing a solid roundup of the weekly gaming news.

The 300th episode takes a sentimental turn, with Andy thanking those who have helped him along the way and listing his top 5 reasons why he thinks videogame journalism is a dream job.

Wells told MCV: "I really do want to express how great it is to have Bigpond Games as such a great supporter of locally produced content."

"It's all too easy to rely on video content piped from the other side of the globe, but I really think the audience appreciates it when you can present a local angle on international stories and cover the stories happening within our own borders."

"My partnership with Bigpond Games is one I hold very close to my heart...so here's to another 300 episodes!"

Wells has been a staple of the industry for some time now, coming out of radio originally before GameArena gave him the opportunity to jump to video online.
