Fruit Ninja Kinect goes retro

Halfbrick has announced a new 8-bit modification for Fruit Ninja Kinect, turning the whole game into an early-90s era bleep-fest.

It's coming as DLC, and is rather modestly priced at 160 MS Points.

The concept is to downgrade the entire look and feel of the game, offering up a complete graphical overhaul as well as implementing a chiptunes (modern music made from 8-bit handhelds) soundtrack.

Halfbrick has been a long standing supporter of PAX, which kicks off today, and will be there showcasing and debuting the new DLC as well as giving free codes to everyone who passes its booth.

The DLC is available on Friday 31st August, and the trailer is available here.
