Federal Government to offer game dev incentives

Antony Reed, the CEO of the Game Developers' Association of Australia, has just confirmed upcoming incentive from the Federal Government.

While the details are still unfortunately scant, MCV can confirm that there will be, in the coming few weeks, Federal incentives to develop games in Australia.

Meanwhile, funding has been re-enstated for Victoria after the previous program was scrapped in May this year.

The new budget for games is less than previous years, clocking in at AUD$500'000 across two programs: 'Screen Development' and 'Screen Marketing', which will offer AUD$30-90k and up to AUD$25k respectively.

More news on the Federal incentive scheme as it comes.
