EB grows home

EB grows home

With much positive feedback from last year, EB ramped up its Home Grown section at the EB EXPO, giving it its own whole building.

The section housed all the stands from local and independent developers, eSports and a separate stage where the cosplayers game out to play.

It was a great way to allow for a showcasing of local development talent, with stands and desks being made available at a discounted rate, yet still with all the trappings of a smaller scale expo hall.

Developers on hand included Nnooo, Convict Interactive, Epiphany Games and Divisive Media, with a large-scale recruitment booth from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment.

eSports involved various leagues and tournaments, and had big names like mOOnGLaDe present to compete. There were crowds gathered around the rows of PCs where fighting games, RTS and sports titles were all being used to find winners, people being mesmerised by the competition with sometimes six or more people on chairs gathered around watching each screen.
