EB Games takes the win at the IGEA Soccer Tournament

The first time the retailer jumps in to compete, it walks away with the trophy.

The large EB Games team took out the win in the finals against CrossMark, another new team, which came down to a penalty shootout after a nil all draw. EB took the penalty shootout 4 to 2.

Ron Curry, our fearless IGEA CEO, said:

When ever the industry gets together there's no doubting that there will be laughs, a high level of competition and the occasional tears – and yesterday's soccer (football!) tournament was no exception. This year we saw a record number of teams entered and it was incredibly pleasing to see a larger cross section of the industry attending, so special thanks must go to the finalists EB & CrossMark along with the other first timers DADC and the combined intellectual might of the 'Analysists' (who also took out the coveted Wooden Spoon Award).

Congratulations go to EB for taking home this year's trophy and a special mention for EA who hold the record for the greatest number of injuries.
