EB Games confirms EB World reward scheme at EXPO

Amongst the chaos at the EB EXPO, the Game Informer stand is announcing the Australian implementation of the EB Games reward scheme: EB World.

The scheme will see consumers earn carrots (points) and rank up, with four levels attainable and each one coming with its own set of specific rewards.

At the outset, consumers are promised existing EB offers, such as their 7-day returns policy and express trades, but once they reach the highest level they'll have VIP privileges at EB Games events, exclusive access to game betas and unspecified birthday offers, while along the way there are one-off rewards of extra trade credit and redeemable vouchers rewarded upon levelling up.

The 48 hour hold period on pre-ordered titles has been reduced to 24 hours for newcomers, and extended as long as one full week for level 4 members.

The scheme will also push for consumer interaction with the brand, beckoning people to read and write reviews on the EB Games web site and implement an ongoing list of games they own or want on the EB Online Games Library.

Customers can also jump straight to level 3 by purchasing a 12-month subscription to Australian Game Informer.
