EB Games and Starlight kick things up a gear

Last year, EB Games raised over AUD$500'000 for the Starlight Foundation - a goal it aims to top with this year's effort.

To achieve this, the EB Games Melbourne flagship Swanston Street store will be playing host to a 25 hour Game-a-thon (in honour of this being Starlight's 25th anniversary year).

On 2nd and 3rd of May, EB Games is inviting people to partake in a 25 hour marathon of gaming goodness in the store, with the whole stint being divided into genres and themes of roughly two to three hours each.

Channel 9 is on board as the media partner for Starlight, while EB Games will also be pushing out a live stream via Twitch TV.

During the event, there'll be everything from tournaments to fort-building competitions, and of course there'll be a pizza eating challenge because of doubtless well-researched reasons.

With so grand and public an event, it looks like EB Games just might be able to top last year's effort, which saw EA, Ubisoft and Mindscape in full support of the endeavour.
