News has dropped today that as of 31st October, Dan Cheer will no longer be the editor of Gameplanet New Zealand.
Cheer sent out a final email to PR folks today announcing his departure, and will be remaining in Canada, where he's been since last E3, to move on to other things.
Cheer has been a staple of Gameplanet New Zealand for some time, and is a familiar face for anyone who's been in the industry over the last few years, first taking on the role of editor in 2008.
We're all sorry to see him go, and wish him the best with everything in the future.
