Well, the children have had their fun and the August and September releases are behind us - now the real show begins.
Assassin's Creed 3 is only a week and a half away, and will be rolling out its TV campaign starting this Sunday, premiering the new Australia 30 second TVC during Homeland at 8:30pm.
MCV has been given a sneak peek at it, and darned if it isn't explosive and action-packed. It really does make you want to take on those redcoats (go on, just ONE more time), and the evocative 'Rise' tagline echoes The Dark Knight Rises, which Ubi backed with its cinema campaign earlier in the year, I daresay not be accident.
It's Playstation-tagged, giving a shoutout to the hour of extra gameplay on the PS3 version.
Ubisoft is spending more on the campaign for AC3 than it has in its Australian history.
"It's a huge campaign for us, it's our biggest spend ever" said Mike Kolodzinski, Marketing Director at Ubisoft. "...the reason being it's our highest pre-ordering title ever in Australia."
Reviews are expected shortly, and it's a pivotal time for the series, which the juice now fully squeezed out of AC2 and this conclusion to the trilogy needing to be a serious punctuation mark to end what's been a sterling series so far as we lead up to a new generation of hardware.
