Razer has given duties for promotion and publicity to Melbourne independent PR agency Communicado, commencing in June.
The agency, which has been around in PR, promotions and brand activation since 1995, will be utilising the gaming industry skills of Paul Houlihan, who left THQ last year to join agency, in pushing the Razer brand throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Communicado pitched on a brief earlier this month, and won the business of the leading high-performance gaming headset brand, now aiming to take the brand to new heights of public perception.
Tom Montgomery, MD of Communicado, told MCV: "The brief was to demonstrate how an external agency would successfully meet the PR needs of a gaming client. Our team is uniquely placed to meet this brief with extensive experience working within the videogame industry."
Houlihan will be managing the Razer account directly.
