Classification Department schedules authorised assessor sessions on R18+ amendment

In preparation for the introduction of an R18+ rating for games in Australia come the 1st of January, the Classification Department is holding information sessions in mid-November.

These compulsory sessions are free, and are designed to ensure all authorised assessors understand how to apply the new R18+ rating for games. Any current assessor who does not attend one of these sessions will have their status suspended.

Suffice to say then, those who do wish to maintain their status as an authorised assessor ought to compare the following schedule with their own diary:

Melbourne (at the offices of TressCox Lawyers Level 9, 469 La Trobe St):
Thursday 8th  November - 2pm to 3pm

Sydney (Classification Branch Office, Level 6, 23 - 33 Mary Street, Surry Hills):
Monday 19th November - 10am to 11am
Monday 19th November - 2pm to 3pm

Wednesday 21st November - 10am to 11am
Wednesday 21st November - 2pm to 3pm

Friday 23rd November - 10am to 11am
Friday 23rd November - 2pm to 3pm

Those who wish to register for any session can do so by emailing: training@classification.gov.au.
