Astro Gaming and Bluemouth have partnered to bring Astro's range of headphones to Australia and New Zealand.
The move will see Bluemouth competing with Razer and market leader Turtle Beach, which already have a presence in the market, aiming to satisfy the need for more hardcore equipment for serious gamers.
Jordan Reiss, founder and VP of Astro, said: "We are proud to be partnering with Bluemouth Interactive for our AU / NZ distribution. It marks a real milestone that ASTRO Gaming gear – including our popular A40 Audio System, the A30 Cross-Gaming Headset, and the Transport Series of gaming gear bags – will soon be available to Australian and New Zealand retailers."
"For Australian’s that don’t yet know about us – ASTRO positions itself as the first lifestyle brand to speak for hardcore video gamers at the forefront of a gaming market currently worth $65 billion per year and growing."
David Provan, MD of Bluemouth, added: "Like ASTRO - our company lives at the epicentre of gaming lifestyle. The products we’ve always brought to Australian/NZ retailers have been specifically designed for the gamers. ASTRO gaming products perfectly fit this philosophy."
"We just can’t wait to launch ASTRO Gaming’s purpose-built, high-end video gaming equipment and lifestyle products into the hands of the Aussie and Kiwi “tech-life” generation."
Astro Gaming headsets were previously only made available to gamers via the company's official web site. This will be the brand's first push into retail.
