Over at Polygon, (and via Reuters) news has filtered through that the Obama administration is going to follow up the Newtown shootings with a task force.
The task force will be led by US Vice President Joe Biden, and will be meeting with representatives from a variety of special interest groups as well as people from film and videogames.
The specific aim will be to investigate legislation which looks at banning assault rifles.
While any claims that violent media causes violent behaviour have never been substantiated, the task force has a more positive agenda than the more typical scapegoating
